Technical details:

Engine:
1600 dual-port by "Riechert-Tuning",

with: 296° camshaft by "Schrick", modified heads, stronger valve stems and -springs, high compressed, lightened flywheel, two double carburetors WEBER 40 IDF, front oil cooler in the main stream, big fan, pointless ignition system by "Crane Cams" (6 volts!), 009 Bosch distributor, blue 6 V Bosch ignition-coil.
That delivers a performance of approx. 80 DIN HP. Enough for me (until now).
With the "short" transmission it runs about 155 km/h, at 5.400 rpm's on the "Autobahn"

Chassis:
Red KONI's all around, at the front the short ones from the Opel (Vauxhall) Kadett C for the adjustable front beam. The whole thing was brought 6cm's down to the street, naturally with "Caster Shims", the swing axle-sway bar is still resting in my garage.

Brakes:
5-lug discbrake-system by NEAL-Performance (USA) with drilled rotors at the front. At the rear, drums with Porsche 924 wheel brake cylinders. Braided steel brake-hoses.

Wheels:
Front: 155/15 tires on 4 1/2 inch Porsche 356-rims (Mangels). Rear: 185/70/15 tires on 5 1/2 inch Porsche 356-rims (also Mangels).

Interior:
Clock and fuelgauge were exchanged against a tachometer in original look with an integrated fuelgauge. To the place of the original fuelgauge an original VDO oiltemperaturegauge came. This kit is available at "House of Ghia" for US$ 299,--. I had to rebuild the tach for 6 volts.

All changes are completely legalized in germany, even the brakesystem. If someone now cries out: "what the hell has this chap done to this beautiful car !?!", i can say for calming, that everything is rebuildable without any dents or holes left.

And who knows? Perhaps in 1-2 years i can't see it anymore...
